How to Replace a Bathroom Floor Drain
December 26 , 2022

The bathroom floor drain is broken. What should I do if I want to replace it? Don't worry. We'll teach you to change easily.

1. In fact, it is very simple to remove the old floor drain. The premise is that you need to use a cutting machine to cut the floor tiles, spray some water during the cutting process, and the cut lines will be very straight.

2. After cutting, it is necessary to tap the cut part with a hammer to loosen the floor drain and the floor tiles, so that the floor drain can be easily taken out.

3. After the floor drain is taken out, remove the sundries on the floor drain. Then find a piece of cotton cloth and put it into the sewer to prevent cement, sand, etc. from falling into the sewer and causing blockage of the sewer.

4. After the sundries are cleared, take out the rag in the sewer pipe, and pre pave the new floor drain to see whether the height is consistent.

5. If the above problems do not occur, waterproof materials can be self-made, otherwise the phenomenon of penetration may occur.

6. After the waterproof material is finished, it needs to be evenly applied around the groove.

7. Put the floor drain into the groove, which should be about 1mm lower than the surrounding floor tiles.

8. After about 10min, put the wet filter shaft into the floor drain base, and rotate it appropriately to make the silica gel and the base combine effectively.

9. Finally, put on the filter screen and clean the surroundings of the floor drain. The replacement of the floor drain is also completed.
